The development of the urban block on the corners of 28. října and Žofínská links to Smetanovo Square. The concept for the interior of the Moravian metropolis completes the currently non-compact city structure and introduces new functions: retail, office and leisure areas are enhanced by a hotel. Two conspicuous high-rise apartment buildings are flanked by a several-storey retail/office wing to balance the scale of the place. The street level contains cafés and shops, and uses patios to make a separate pedestrian landscape. We worked with a noticeable facade raster, giving the place a clear identification and contrasting with the visually fragmented surroundings.
